Olympics opening ceremony

Anyone that didn't see it the the olympic opening ceremony totally missed out. It was AMAZING! I've never seen anything like it and I've watched every single Olympic opening ceremony since I was 5 (1984 - Los Angeles).

Duane and I let the girls stay up late so they could watch the opening ceremony with us. We also ate chinese food while we watched. It was really fun. I know the girls really enjoyed staying up extra late with us (even if they really didn't know exactly what we were watching).

I LOVED the opening ceremonies. Truly spectacular.

I watched an interview of the director of the show and he said that the part where all those people lifted the boxes to make chinese symbols, they had practiced for AT LEAST 8 hours a day (sometimes more) for the last 4 months. He said they had NEVER gotten it done perfectly...until of course the actual performance!

Incredible!
