Wow, can you believe it's already Arbor Day 2008? Yeah, me neither. Actually I totally forgot that Arbor Day existed until this morning when I was reading the news. Since I know so little about this particular 'holiday' I did a little reading on the subject and learned some facts about Arbor Day. Very interesting.
Of course the whole point of Arbor day is to plant a tree. If you are like me, you don't have the time to run to the nearest nursery, purchase a tree, and plant it, all the while dealing with kids. Well, I just discovered that I could plant a tree without even leaving the comfort of my own home.
The Arbor Day Foundation, Toyota and Facebook joined forces for the purpose of rebuilding forests. You can help them simply by adding this application to your facebook page and giving trees to your friends. For each gift ($1) you send, you'll be planting a real tree in a needy forest. And to help get you growing, Toyota will buy the first gift for you (first 50,000 total gifts).

I thought it was hilarious that you were wishing everyone a happy Arbor Day and i thought to myself what is arbor day again...and why does Penny know what day Arbor day is? Then you said that you heard it that morning. Go trees!
